Look, I know this is meant to be a singular award, but I was so impressed with what I saw from LG at CES that I couldn’t just include one device, so I went with three!
You might think (as I sheepishly did) that LG just makes TVs and monitors. But I’ve picked three devices, the LG gram, CineBeam and MyView Smart Monitor, that will completely change your perception of what LG is about.
The focus on user experience combined with thoughtful software and beautifully designed hardware is seriously impressive, serving as a reminder that it isn’t all just about AI in 2025
LG gram laptop
LG is leading with the selling point of this laptop in the name; the gram. And that’s because it is a very lightweight laptop. At 1.12kg, the 14-inch model is lighter than the latest MacBook Air and smaller in terms of overall dimensions.
That’s great for portability and makes it ideal for those who need something nimble for travel. But it isn’t my favourite thing about the LG gram.
That would be LG’s gramLink feature which allows you to connect with up to 10 devices at one time, including iOS and Android. If you need to share a work document or give a presentation then this feature is a lifesaver. Compare it to Apple’s AirPlay, which only allows connections to other Apple devices, and it starts to look quite embarrassing.

– BeBird EarSight Complete: Ear wax removal camera
– OneLaser Hydra: Desktop laser cutting and engraving
– Oneisall Comfy C1: Pet grooming kit
There’s a hefty chip under the bonnet too; the LG gram is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor which has 14 cores and 18 threads. It is, of course, angled towards supporting AI features such as Copilot in Windows.
The LG gram also comes with an Intel Arc graphics unit which is a surprisingly powerful bit of kit and really broadens what you can do with this thing. Battery life sits at around 12 hours with the 14-inch model but this goes up if you opt for a larger model.
On that, you can go up to a 17-inch display or if you need more power then there is the gram Pro range too. I love these laptops. They feel like excellent all-rounders and are good value starting at $1,129/£1,129.
LG CineBeam
Do you like watching movies at home? I hear a yes. In that case, there is no better way than with a projector.
Therefore, do you want the best at-home projector you can buy? Well, then I found it for you at CES. It’s the LG CineBeam.
Most home projectors look a bit naff. They’re often covered in plastic and remind you of sitting in a school room whilst watching a history documentary. The CineBeam is uber-stylish, taking on an old-timey cinema approach to design, which could easily sit on a shelf as an ornament when not in use.
It is 4K, capable of a 120-inch screen and has a 450,000:1 contrast ratio meaning the blacks are beautifully rich and there’s a high level of detail. In short, it projects an excellent picture and you can pick it up and take it anywhere.
LG MyView Smart Monitor
Lastly, I come to the MyView Smart Monitor.
If you’ve never used a Smart Monitor before then strap in, they’re rather impressive. The whole point of Smart Monitors is that you can use them without any other computing hardware.
By that, I mean you don’t need a PC or TV box to use the MyView as a computer. Instead, you can remotely connect to a PC or use the Cloud to access a Cloud PC from anywhere in the world. All you need is the Smart Monitor.
This works for gaming too, you just game through the Cloud.
The hardware itself is also everything you’d want. The display comes in two sizes; 32 and 34 inches, both of which are IPS, 4K with a 60Hz refresh rate and a DCI-P3 95% colour gamut.
Conclusion
As I said at the start, LG nailed their offering at CES. These are all excellent products and I can see the gram laptop being very popular; it’s so portable and perfect for tasks the vast majority of people need to do like word-processing or watching videos.
The key takeaway for me is the quality you get from LG in terms of both hardware and software. Everything feels well made whilst their software has nice little touches to make it more friendly and useful.
