Samsung’s 130-Inch Micro RGB TV Is a Jaw-Dropping Flex of Display Technology

It wouldn’t be CES without at least one enormous, ridiculous TV and Samsung has come out swinging.

Revealed today at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the new 130-inch Micro RGB TV is Samsung’s most advanced and largest display to date. It’s the first of its kind, and it’s designed to turn heads, not just for its size.

    Big and bold

Samsung calls this the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV, and while it’s unlikely to end up in living rooms any time soon, it’s hard to deny its impact. This is a display that doesn’t so much hang on a wall as become the wall.

It’s a statement — the sort of product designed to show off what Samsung’s display tech is capable of. Remember, they are key parts suppliers for much of the globe’s tech brands when it comes to displays.

The 130-inch set combines Micro RGB panel technology with Samsung’s most powerful image processing engine to date; the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro. This, along with Micro RGB Colour Booster Pro and HDR Pro, allows the display to apply AI-powered tweaks to contrast, colour saturation and detail, producing a picture that is, on paper at least, the most refined Samsung has ever delivered.

    Colour accuracy for days

If you care about numbers, the TV offers 100% of the BT.2020 wide colour gamut, which is totally meaningless to me and probably you. Safe to say, it shows colours accurately.

There’s also Glare Free technology, designed to reduce reflections, something that Samsung nailed with its flagship phones in 2024 and becomes even more important when your screen is over 3 metres wide.

    From television to installation art

Perhaps the most striking part of Samsung’s new flagship isn’t the technology inside, but the thinking behind its physical presence.

The 130-inch model adopts what Samsung is calling the Timeless Frame; a minimalist, architectural design that revives its 2013 “Timeless Gallery” concept. The goal is to make the TV feel less like a slab of tech and more like a high-end installation. Samsung wants this to be a part of the space, not just a display within it. It’s a bit like their Frame TVs which you’re encouraged to use as a TV-cum-art-gallery.

The audio is embedded within the frame, calibrated to the screen size, and designed to match the visual experience without needing additional speakers or soundbars.

    AI, of course

This being 2026, the TV also comes packed with AI features, some more useful than others.

There’s Vision AI Companion, which handles natural language search and content recommendations. More niche tools include AI Football Mode Pro, AI Sound Controller Pro, and even Generative Wallpaper, which lets you fill the massive screen with algorithm-generated imagery when you’re not watching anything.

Support for HDR10+ ADVANCED, Eclipsa Audio, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity integration round out what is a very modern software offering.

It’s all impressive on paper, but also slightly overwhelming, a reminder that even our TVs are now being reimagined as smart assistants and content hubs rather than just…well, TVs. But to be fair to Samsung, this isn’t a gimmick, they want to integrate software like this so your home operates as one, from phone to fridge to TV.

    Also announced

Alongside its 130-inch centrepiece, Samsung revealed updates across its 2026 lineup:

    • A new S95F OLED TV with voice-activated control, letting users navigate content or recipes hands-free.
    • The Freestyle+ projector, now with AI-driven picture adjustments.
    • A new Music Studio Series of WiFi speakers, joining upgraded Q-Series soundbars.
    • Smart home enhancements, including the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra with spill-detection.
    • Expanded HDR10+ ADVANCED support across TVs, plus tighter SmartThings and Google Photos integration.

This 130-inch Micro RGB TV really does feel like the future of home screens, it’s the kind of thing that makes you rethink what “big” even means. When I read about it, I couldn’t help thinking how watching a movie on something this size would feel like having a tiny theatre in your living room. I even clicked around a bit and saw stuff like https://samsung-electronics.pissedconsumer.com/review.html to see what real users were saying about Samsung tech in general, which helped balance the hype with real-world impressions. It’s wild how fast display tech evolves, and this feels like a major leap forward.
