A newly surfaced list of internal product identifiers appears to detail Apple’s Mac hardware plans for the next two years, including new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Studio models, and a possible low-cost MacBook model.
A detailed leak published this week claims to outline every major Mac update Apple has planned between late 2025 and the end of 2026. The information, first reported by AppleInsider and, comes from what appears to be an internal Apple database of unreleased product codes.

The identifiers, alphanumeric model names such as J714 and J804, are used internally to track hardware development and have often accurately predicted future releases. If the list is genuine, it provides an unusually clear look at Apple’s roadmap for Macs powered by M-series Silicon and potentially a new A-series chip.
According to the leak, Apple intends to launch updated versions of nearly every Mac product line. This isn’t necessarily a surprising revelation. The Mac range is Apple’s bread and butter, with the MacBook offering excellent value for money, so it would be odd if there weren’t plans in place to keep it going.

MacBook Pro Updates
Multiple identifiers point to refreshed 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models arriving in late 2025 and again in late 2026.
- For late 2025, codes J714c/J714s and J716c/J716s likely correspond to M5 Max and M5 Pro configurations.
- A second wave in 2026, identified as K114 and K116, may signal a significant redesign featuring long-awaited OLED displays, a thinner chassis, and possibly built-in cellular connectivity. There’s a chance that could reference an iPad.
MacBook Air Refresh
The MacBook Air appears slated for a 2026 update. Two model identifiers, J813 and J815, are believed to represent the 13-inch and 15-inch variants. These updates are expected to be evolutionary, focused on adopting newer chips rather than major changes to design.

Mac mini, iMac, and Mac Studio
Desktop Macs are included extensively in the leaked schedule:
- Mac mini: Updates identified as J473 and J475, possibly representing configurations with M5 and M5 Pro chips.
- iMac: A model referred to as J433ct, likely an M5 version of the 24-inch iMac.
- Mac Studio: Two codes, J775c and J775d, which may correspond to higher-end configurations with M5 Max or Ultra-class silicon.
Mac Pro
Apple’s flagship desktop workstation is expected to be updated under the identifier J704. No detailed specification is included, but it is likely this would replace the current Mac Pro powered by M2 Ultra. It’s been a while since we had a Mac Pro rumour, so this one is exciting.

A Budget MacBook with iPhone Chip
Perhaps the most unusual revelation involves an unannounced MacBook that reportedly uses an A18 Pro chip, which Apple is also expected to feature in this year’s iPhone lineup.
- The identifier J700 isn’t clearly linked to any product but there is speculation that it could relate to a recently rumoured MacBook using a non-M-series chip.
- Again, this is largely speculation, but if true, it would mark the first time Apple has released a Mac powered by an A-series mobile processor rather than an M-series chip.

Why This Matters
If this schedule holds, Apple will be updating every major Mac product line over the next 18 to 24 months. This includes:
- Two generations of MacBook Pro hardware (M5 and a later redesign).
- A MacBook Air refresh with updated chips.
- New Mac mini, iMac, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro.
- Possible introduction of a lower-cost MacBook based on iPhone silicon.
Again, this may not be totally accurate as it is a leak, but the general timeline seems to match up with Apple’s standard release schedule.
