This year, Prime Day is happening on the 8th and 9th of October. Although it can sometimes be overwhelming, if you do your research, there are some genuine bargains to be had on lots of tech and accessories.
Luckily for you, we’ve picked out some of our favourite products that we reviewed this year to buy on Prime Day. Whether it’s headphones, earbuds, laptops, speakers or handy accessories, our recommendations are all backed by a thorough and no-nonsense review. Have a look and see what takes your fancy!
We’ll be updating this article in the run-up to Prime Day to keep track of our favourite deals, so make sure to check back!
Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2

If you love earbuds, and I mean really love them, then you can’t get much better than the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2.
These earbuds offer the best sound quality on the market. The buttery smooth bass is perfectly pitched in order to let other elements sing and the top ends are detailed without ever feeling washed out.
The Pi7 S2 also come with noise cancelling and an ambient transparency mode. The noise cancelling is up there with some of the best, but still not quite as good as the AirPods Pro 2 in that regard.
Ambient transparency mode is there for situations when you need to hear sounds from the world around you. When activated, the earbuds will blend exterior sounds with whatever you are listening to so you can hear other people or important noises.
The only downside to this is that the transparency mode can only be turned off or on by using the Bowers & Wilkins app.
As for the design, the Pi7 S2 look premium with a striking chrome metal design, and the stemless nature means they protrude minimally from your eyes. The soft silicon ear tips are also comfy and ensure a good seal to keep the sound in.
The case is slightly large and a bit cumbersome, but it’s a minor gripe
Straight out of the box, the Pi7 S2 sound exquisite. I wouldn’t call them audiophile standard but, when pitching to a general audience, you won’t beat them
Sonos Ace Headphones

A word of warning; these are premium headphones. As with most Sonos products, you pay a price for quality. And it’s no different with the Sonos Ace headphones, their first foray into the over-ear market.
They have all the things you’d want at this price point; 40mm custom dynamic drivers, eight mics for noise control and voice targeting, Spatial Audio, Dolby Atmos support, head tracking and can accept lossless audio.
When you actually put the Sonos Ace on your head and start listening to music, you realise that they absolutely justify the lofty price tag. Straight out of the box, these headphones sound pretty much perfect and there really isn’t a need for any EQing unless you personally feel the need.
The sound is full of so much body, like a beefy glass of red wine, and lots going on with the low-end. Is it weird to say listening to the Sonos Ace is exciting? Well, that’s the best way to describe it.
Better than the AirPods Max by a long shot and, in our opinion, miles ahead of the Sony XM5s, Sonos has produced a really unique listening experience. Add to that excellent noise cancelling and a good transparency mode and you have a near-perfect pair of headphones.
You will look at the price tag and gasp. But if you have the money, pay it and you won’t look back. Any discount on these cans should be cause for an instant purchase.
M3 MacBook Air

The M3 MacBook Air is one of our favourite MacBooks of all time. Combining ridiculous power that only the most excessive power users could make sweat and portability, there really isn’t much to dislike about this MacBook Air.
The M3 chip uses 3nm technology meaning more transistors are packed into a smaller space leading to increased efficiency. Apple’s Silicon chips blow any Windows or other chip out of the water in terms of overall power.
Apple claims that the M3 chip is 60% faster than the M1 chip and 13x faster than an Intel MacBook. The use case for this laptop is so broad that it begins to even make the M3 MacBook Pro seem a bit useless. Seriously, you can do pretty much anything up to coding and highly intensive graphic work/video editing on the M3 MacBook Air.
One of the main complaints about older MacBook Airs is the smaller displays, but you can opt for a 13-inch or 15-inch display with the M3, making it attractive to a wider range of users. Beyond that, you get Apple’s brilliantly vibrant Liquid Retina display, 18-hour battery life and MagSafe charging.
Another handy upgrade with this iteration of the MacBook Air is the ability to support two external displays when the lid is closed.
There are multiple storage and memory configuration options you can go for. The standard is 8GB unified memory with 256GB of SSD storage. If you can afford it, we recommend going for 16GB unified memory and a 1TB SSD, just for that extra bit of future-proofing.
If you buy the M3 MacBook Air it will be your main laptop for many years to come. It is one of the best value laptops out there, end of discussion.
M3 Max MacBook Pro

If you just read that lavishly positive section about the M3 MacBook Air and thought, ‘you know what, that sounds boring, I need unlimited power’ then boy, do I have a laptop to sell you!
The M3 Max chip is ridiculous. It is the most powerful computer chip in the world alongside the most efficiently built memory architecture. And it’s not just the chip that’s beefy.
The base-level M3 Max MacBook Pro comes with a 14-core CPU and 30-core GPU, meaning it is optimised for graphics-heavy workloads. In truth, there is a very small percentage of people who need this much power from a laptop. Web developers, graphic designers and statistical modellers; if you need the oomph, you already know.
You can buy the M3 Max with a 14-inch or 16-inch screen, the latter is much more advisable if you will be working on things like video editing. With the Max you also get a HDMI port and SD card slot, again, making it very handy for those in the photography/video-making world.
It is one the best laptops in terms of pure power we’ve ever used, and it enables much of the video production on the Mark Ellis YouTube channel. And for that reason, an easy recommendation to those who want one.
At $3,499/£3,299 for the base-level M3 Max MacBook Pro, it isn’t cheap, suitable only for those who will be able to see the payback in earnings. But thankfully that’s what Prime Day is for with offers already knocking about $300/£300 off the RRP. Get ‘em whilst they’re hot!
Benks Infinity Pro Magnetic iPad Stand

This isn’t exactly a product we’ve reviewed this year. But it is one used every day of every year. That’s how good it is.
Most people use iPads laying flat on a surface which isn’t ideal for anything other than note-taking, or propped up with a keyboard stand. These are not optimal for carrying out serious work or even for leisure activities like watching a movie.
The Benks iPad Stand changes all of this. Thanks to the use of magnets, you can attach a compatible iPad to the stand and turn it into any orientation or slant without worrying about it falling off.
The hinge feels sturdy and the swivel point at the base of the stand, which allows you to turn your iPad around to show others, has a reassuring ‘click’ so you know it’s locked in place.
It feels like a premium product and is easily mistaken for an official Apple accessory. What’s more, it folds down flat for easy transportation.
Compatibility
iPad Air 11”, iPad Air 13”, iPad Air 4, iPad Air 5, iPad Pro 11” 2018-2022, iPad Pro 12.9” 2018-2022
If you’re an iPad user and want to instantly transform how you use your device, then the Benks Infinity Pro iPad Stand is a great buy.
It retails for $89/£99 but they are a perfect Prime Day deal to look out for.
2024 Beats Pill

Remember the Beats Pill? Of course you do. It was that insanely popular red speaker that everyone owned ten years ago. If you went to the beach in 2012 or 2013, the odds that someone would bring a Beats Pill were higher than Apple releasing the new M4 MacBooks with 8GB unified memory again.
Well, it’s back and much better than ever. In a crowded portable speaker market, Beats, owned by Apple, has come back with a bang.
The most striking thing about the Beats Pill, as it always has been, is the design. The pill shape makes it comfortable to hold and stable when placed on a surface. It is partially covered with soft silicon which also adds to its comfort when holding.
Importantly for a portable speaker, the Beats Pill is now IP67 water and dust resistance meaning rain or sand won’t be an issue. There are physical buttons too which are far superior to touch control.
And thankfully, the Pill sounds great. The woofer is larger, with more surface area and energy within the magnet. In normal person speak, that means the bass is a lot smoother and deeper. For its size, it is a pretty loud speaker. Not the loudest but more than enough for interior rooms and public areas like beaches.
For anything like a house party, then you’d need more than one. Handily, you can wirelessly connect two Beats Pills and use Amplify Mode to boost the volume.
All in all, the Beats Pill is a very good portable speaker. It doesn’t have the absolute best sound quality but it looks excellent, especially in Champagne Gold, and sounds terrific for the mass market.
At $149/£149, it isn’t cheap but it’s about the same as similarly sized speakers from other brands like Sonos and JBL. With a Prime Day discount of $20/£20 or so, the Beats Pill is a great buy.
UltraHuman Ring AIR

Smart rings are the in-thing right now. They are having a moment and muscling in on the smartwatch market.
One such brand taking on this new frontier is UltraHuman. We reviewed the UltraHuman earlier this year and were very impressed both by its functionality and ease of use.
Available in Raw Titanium, Aster Black, Matte Grey, Bionic Gold, and Space Silver, the UltraHuman Ring Air looks great. Sleek, not too chunky and has enough options to cover more tastes. If you like understated, then go for the Matte Grey.
Although I don’t think smart rings have nailed the look yet, they are getting there.
Packed inside the Ring AIR is Bluetooth LE hardware, six sensors, and a battery that can last up to six days. Although there is ‘fighter jet’ grade material on the outer casing, the ring inevitably picks up some scuffs, much like a normal ring.
Charging is made a suitably futuristic experience with a charging puck that the ring satisfyingly slips over.
Where the UltraHuman Ring Air really excels is in its software design. Focusing on sleep, strain and recovery, the app succinctly summarises information into handy charts that are far more readable at a glance than the likes of Apple Health and Garmin Connect.
We really love the Adenosine Clearance Window which shows you when you shouldn’t be consuming caffeine…which most people probably guiltily ignore.
All of this comes without a subscription which is far more attractive than others like the rather pricey Oura Ring. If you want more functionality, you can pair the UltraHuman Ring AIR with other health-tracking services like MyFitnessPal.
If you want a smart ring, then the UltraHuman Ring AIR is our recommendation. It is compatible with Apple and Android and costs $349/£349. That’s more than some others but the key is the lack of a subscription.
Get one with a Prime Day deal and you’re golden!
Benks Headphone Stand

We couldn’t leave you without another Benks recommendation for Prime Day. Their equipment is always built amazingly well and, here’s the key, genuinely useful. If you can pick some of their stuff up for a discount then you will honestly be very satisfied.
Much like the Benks Magnetic iPad Stand, the Benks Grand Headphone Stand does it’s job perfectly whilst looking premium. It is made primarily for the AirPods Max but works for any set of headphones.
Made from aluminium, they suit the look of the AirPods Max perfectly and combine as a really beautiful desk ornament. The hanger part has also been specifically designed to stop the AirPods Max’s canopy from warping.
Here’s the kicker, the Benks Headphone stand also comes with an in-built wireless phone charging pad in the base. How cool is that!
We’ve come to expect nothing less than utilitarian ingenuity from Benks. The headphone and iPad stands are nothing short of exactly that.
Even better, the standard RRP is only $39/£32. With a Prime Day discount, the Benks Grand Headphone stand is one of our most highly recommended accessory purchases.
