iPhone 16 Pro: Super Thin Bezel Alert

Last month we met Apple’s thinnest device, the M4 iPad Pro, and now we might have the world’s thinnest smartphone bezel with the iPhone 16 Pro and Max.

Don’t know what a bezel is?

It’s basically the frame around the screen of the smartphone (to put it simply).

Smartphones are getting slimmer and slimmer, especially at Apple. But it’s rumoured that they plan to minimize bezels and maximize screen real estate on their next generation, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.

How thin will the iPhone 16 Pro bezels be?

Multiple credible sources have reported that the next generation of iPhones could feature the slimmest bezels ever seen on a smartphone.

The 16 Pro may boast a bezel thickness of just 1.2 millimetres, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max could be 1.15 millimetres.

To put these figures into perspective, the current iPhone 15 Pro models already sport thin bezels, measuring in at 1.71 millimetres.

The proposed reduction for the iPhone 16 Pro line would potentially dethrone the reigning champion, the Samsung Galaxy S24, which is currently regarded as the smartphone with the world’s thinnest bezels.
