Huawei revealed a whole heap of new gadgets at their product launch in Dubai today including a brand-new Huawei Watch Fit 3.

The lineup featured other wearables, apps, audio, and smart office solutions, including the new MateBook X Pro laptop, and Huawei MatePad 11.5″S tablet. They also extended their Huawei Watch 4 Pro series by adding a space edition.

Here’s deeper dive into what’s new from Huawei:

The Huawei Watch Fit 3

Huawei’s new Fit 3 smartwatch is an everyday and fitness-tracking wearable device, that serves as an upgrade to its Fit 2 predecessor.

Display, weight and dimensions

The new Watch Fit 3 features an extra-large high-definition AMOLED floating display, aluminum alloy body, and a diverse range of color options. It measures 9.9mm in thickness and weighs  26g, making it the lightest and thinnest in its series.

Fitness & Health monitoring

Inheriting the classic square design of its predecessors, this latest addition to the FIT series has undergone an upgrade in terms of it’s fitness capabilities. They allow the watch to function as a personal trainer on the user’s wrist, due to the Stay Fit app which boasts an expanded food database covering 50 different countries and regions, as well as a new nutritional analysis feature for weight management. 

The Watch Fit 3 also introduces the Smart Sports suggestion feature, which recommends specific types of exercise based on the user’s habits, weather conditions, and activity levels, encouraging you to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

In terms of sleep monitoring, the Huawei Fit 3 showcases Huawei’s TruSleep™4.0 technology, which covers a more comprehensive range of physiological indicators and offers improved sleep score analysis and tailored advice as well as provides a new sleep breathing awareness feature.

The heart rate tracker has also been improved, due to a revamped SpO2 interface that allows users to check their current oxygen saturation levels in as little as 25 seconds.

Battery Life

Similar to Garmin smart watches, the Huawei Fit range has a great battery life of 10 days and we expect no less from this newer model. This is great for long gym sessions or hikes.

Pricing & Availability

The Huawei Fit 3 will be available in the UK and Europe starting from May 7th, with wider retail availability following from May 22nd.

Customers can choose from a range of strap options, including Black, Pink, Green, or Moon White Fluoroelastomer Strap (RRP £139.99 / €159), Grey Nylon Strap (RRP £139.99 / €159), or Pearl White Leather Strap (RRP £159.99 / €179). Those who purchase the Fit 3 from the UK Huawei Store between May 7th and June 18th will also receive a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds SE 2.

Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition

Complementing the smartwatch Fit 3, Huawei has also introduced the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition.

Fitness & Health monitoring

Beyond its aesthetic, the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition also has many impressive upgrades to its health and fitness features. The inclusion of Huawei TruSeenTM 5.5+ technology ensures higher precision health monitoring, while the revamped Health Overview 2.0 feature provides users with a comprehensive health report, including new data and a health trend analysis function.

The Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition will be available in the UK and Europe starting from May 7th, with wider retail availability following from May 22nd, priced at RRP £549.99 / €649.

Huawei MatePad 11.5″S Tablet

Another newly announced device is the Huawei MatePad 11.5″S tablet. It’s designed to cater to the needs of modern professionals and creative individuals.

Display, weight and dimensions

Featuring the company’s PaperMatte Display, this device offers a surface reflectivity reduced to below 2% and 99% of light interference eliminated, ensuring comfortable reading and viewing even in bright environments.

Boasting a 3:2 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and a resolution of 2.8K, the Huawei PaperMatte Display delivers a visual experience suitable for reading, watching videos, or engaging in creative pursuits.

Pricing & availability

The Huawei MatePad 11.5″S will be available for pre-order in the UK and Europe from June 4th, with general availability starting from June 18th. Pricing for this tablet starts at €399 in Europe and £349.99 in the UK.

Bundle offers, including the keyboard and M-Pen, will be confirmed closer to the launch.

Huawei GoPaint app

If you use your tablet for digital art, Huawei has also launched its self-developed GoPaint app, a creative painting tool.

The app offers a wide range of virtual brushes and realistic textures, delivering an authentic and intuitive painting experience.

The GoPaint app is powered by Huawei’s FangTian Painting Engine, which supports a large number of layers, low latency, and a high frame rate.

The Huawei MateBook 14

Alongside the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition, MatePad 11.5″S tablet and Watch Fit 3 Huawei has also unveiled the MateBook 14 laptop!

Huawei has also unveiled the Huawei MateBook 14, a laptop that boasts a professional 2.8K OLED display and a striking new green color. This addition to the company’s product lineup further expands the options available to consumers, catering to a diverse range of preferences and needs.

The Huawei MateBook 14 will be available for pre-order in the UK and Europe from June 4th, with general availability starting from June 18th.

The MateBook 14 will be priced starting from €1,099 in Europe (16GB RAM, 512GB Storage) and £1,199.99 in the UK (16GB RAM, 1TB Storage option only).

The Huawei MateBook X Pro

The brand’s next-generation flagship laptop is the Huawei MateBook X Pro.

Performance

This laptop has an Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 high-performance processor despite it’s thin and lightweight design.

Weighing in at just 980g and measuring a mere 13.5mm in thickness.
