Storage and charging: A more practical upgrade
The iPhone 17e brings two upgrades that are easy to overlook on a spec sheet but make a fairly big difference in daily use.
The first is storage. The iPhone 17e starts at 256GB, compared to the iPhone 16e’s 128GB. That may not sound like a big deal at first, but it means you’re far less likely to run into those annoying storage reminders.

If the iPhone 16e already gets you through a full day then there isn’t any real improvement to gain from the 17e.
Camera changes you’ll only notice in certain situations
Let’s get one thing straight, the camera hardware inside these phones is identical. Photos will look basically the same to the naked eye from each device.
