Now let’s really get into it…

Apple Watch SE vs Huawei Watch Fit 3: Design and Aesthetics

When it comes to design, both the Apple Watch SE and the Huawei Watch Fit 3 have some pretty similar qualities.

The Apple Watch SE boasts a familiar square-shaped display with rounded edges, maintaining the aesthetic that has become synonymous with the brand. Its more minimalist design makes it a pretty versatile accessory, suitable for the workplace or the gym.

On the other hand, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 seems to take inspiration from the Apple Watch SE but adds its own unique flair.

With a slightly larger and brighter AMOLED display, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 offers better visuals than the SE.

Also, its thin and lightweight build, combined with a wide array of colour options and strap materials, allows users to personalize their smartwatch to suit their individual style preferences.

When it comes to the overall build quality, both watches are sturdy well put together.

The Apple Watch SE’s stainless steel or aluminum casing, coupled with its durable sapphire crystal display, ensures a robust construction. Similarly, the Huawei Watch Fit 3’s metal frame and 2.5D glass display contribute to its sleek appearance.

    Winner: Huawei Watch Fit 3

Apple Watch SE vs Huawei Watch Fit 3: Functionality and Features

Delving into the core functionalities, the Apple Watch SE and the Huawei Watch Fit 3 offer features that cater to most user’s needs.

The Apple Watch SE, integrates with iOS devices, as you’d expect from any Apple device. It includes a wide range of health and fitness tracking capabilities, as well as productivity tools, making it a good companion for both everyday tasks and active lifestyles. It’s by no means a Garmin watch when it comes to fitness tracking but it does the job for everyday gym users and those interested in their own health data.

In contrast, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 caters to a broader audience, offering compatibility with iOS, Android, and Huawei devices.

While its app ecosystem may not be as extensive as the Apple Watch SE’s, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 still provides a solid set of health and fitness tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis, and a variety of sports modes. Additionally, the watch’s impressive battery life, which allegedly can last up to seven days on a single charge with normal usage, sets it apart from the Apple Watch SE’s relatively shorter battery life.

One area where the Huawei Watch Fit 3 distinguishes itself is its focus on personalization. With a wide range of customizable watch faces and interchangeable straps, users can tailor the smartwatch to their unique style preferences. This level of customization allows for a more personalized user experience, catering to individual tastes and preferences.

The SE has some wiggle room when it comes to personalisation, but not as much as the Watch Fit 3.

Apple Watch SE vs Huawei Watch Fit 3: Health and Fitness Tracking

Both the Apple Watch SE and the Huawei Watch Fit 3 are suitable for health and fitness tracking, providing users with comprehensive tools to monitor their well-being.

The Apple Watch SE’s suite of health-focused features includes heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level tracking, and advanced workout detection. Its integration with the iOS Health app allows for data tracking and analysis, enabling users to gain deeper insights into their overall fitness and wellness.

Additionally, the Apple Watch SE’s ability to detect falls and provide emergency SOS functionality adds an extra layer of safety and security for its users.

The Huawei Watch Fit 3, on the other hand, boasts a set of health and fitness tracking capabilities that, in some cases, rival the Apple Watch SE. Its TruSeen 5.5 heart rate monitoring technology and TruSleep 4.0 sleep analysis algorithms provide accurate and detailed insights into users’ physical well-being. The watch also incorporates features like stress monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, and personalized workout recommendations, catering to a wide range of health and fitness needs.

One standout feature of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is its extensive sports mode tracking, with over 100 different activities supported.

Apple Watch SE vs Huawei Watch Fit 3: Connectivity and Ecosystem Integration

When it comes to connectivity and ecosystem integration, both the Apple Watch SE and the Huawei Watch Fit 3 offer different advantages.

The Apple Watch SE’s integration with the iOS ecosystem is a strength. Users with iPhones can seamlessly pair their watch with their smartphone, enabling features like instant notifications, voice commands via Siri, and the ability to make and receive calls directly from the watch.

In contrast, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 caters to a broader audience by offering compatibility with iOS, Android, and Huawei devices. This cross-platform compatibility expands the watch’s accessibility, making it a viable option for users who may not be part of the Apple ecosystem. Additionally, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 features NFC capabilities, enabling contactless payments in select regions, and adding a convenient layer of functionality for on-the-go transactions.

However, it’s important to note that the Huawei Watch Fit 3’s app ecosystem is somewhat more limited compared to the Apple Watch SE, due to the ongoing challenges faced by Huawei regarding access to Google services.

While the watch still offers a decent selection of pre-installed apps and the ability to download additional ones through the Huawei AppGallery, the overall app diversity may not match the extensive library available for the Apple Watch SE.

Apple Watch SE vs Huawei Watch Fit 3: Battery Life and Charging

One of the key differentiators between the Apple Watch SE and the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is their respective battery life and charging capabilities.

The Apple Watch SE typically requires daily charging to maintain its performance. Which is very annoying if you forget to plug it in overnight.

In contrast, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 stands out with its impressive battery life, which the manufacturer claims can last up to seven days on a single charge.

Moreover, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 supports fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up their device’s battery when needed.

Apple Watch SE vs Huawei Watch Fit 3: Conclusion

When it comes to the Apple Watch SE and the Huawei Watch Fit 3 there was one clear winner. The Huawei Watch Fit 3 won 5 out of 6 categories!!!

Its impressive battery life, versatile health and fitness tracking capabilities, and customization options make it an attractive option for active individuals who leave the house for long periods at a time without a charger and those that value long-lasting performance and personalization.
